The Problem:
The engineering community has recognized the problems of:
- Managing requirements
- Change processes
- Lacking change rationale
- Reduced budget control
- Schedule deviation
- Personnel management issues
... and has responded with multiple tools developed to attack the problem and aid in controlling the pitfalls of systems engineering. Yet the problem still persists.
The government, more specifically Department of Defense, has been designing, developing and operating complex systems for decades. Still, the engineering community is challenged with finding a workable solution.
Standards organizations, while good at developing processes, have yet to overcome the human element that inadequately tries to follow strict engineering philosophies.
The Solution:
An efficient, simple, and effective system is needed to provide organizations, including the U.S. Government, the ability to design, develop and maintain systems properly.
