Background
The world in which we live is filled with high-tech systems requiring experienced engineers and managers. The government, spending over $300 billion dollars a year, is one of the biggest
organizations designing, developing and maintaining high-tech systems which require high-quality talent and experience.
It became apparent after struggling for several years on multi-million and multi-billion dollar government contracts, both classified and unclassified, that the problem was rooted in the human element. We
found multiple government contracting officers, multiple managers and multiple engineers each with different education, experience and opinions. After studying and surveying these individuals, it became
evident that each has a different motivation.
- Government officials desire the best system for the least amount of cost.
- Managers want to make the most amount of money with minimal effort.
- Engineers get stuck building what the government and the managers agree on.
Perception is different for everyone and influences the logic of how to properly engineer. An example would be the number of requirements against a system. If the number of requirements seems too high, which
is a relative term, management will advise the engineers to cut back, which leads to compound requirements. Compound requirements increase risk during the test and sell-off stage which causes confusion.
This current paradigm of systems engineering contains pitfalls that must be mitigated. RIGOR Engineering
SM, LLC is poised to assist in this endeavor.
The Founders
The founders of RIGOR Engineering
SM, LLC and developers of the RIGOR Project Design, Development and Maintenance System have spent their careers working with the current engineering
paradigms and have seen, first-hand, the wasted schedules and budgets due to inconsistency, ambiguity, duplicated efforts and a lack of centralized truth data.
Their experiences working with classified systems and understanding the need for security has resulted in a product worthy of government mandate. With a history of participation on multi-billion dollar government
contracts, the developers have learned where advances in method and technology can benefit the nation.
Knowledge of a "better way" has never been pursued because of program politics and the fact that the program was too far into development. With a passion to do the right thing, RIGOR Engineering
SM, LLC
has been established to develop the RIGOR System as a viable option. We have taken action to make a positive difference!
